Current Students
Self-Directed Academy is now enrolling grades 5-8 for the 2025-26 school year!
Current FPS students interested in attending the Self-Directed Academy for the fall of 2025 should fill out the Self-Directed Academy Transfer Request Form. Self-Directed Academy staff will review the request and notify parents as well as the student's current school of the change if the transfer request is approved.
Information about schedules, school supplies, orientation and back to school night will be shared with families in early August.
Students New to the District:
(Students who are new to Fargo Public Schools for the 2025-26 school year can register after July 1st, 2025).
Start by completing the Pre-Registration form.
- When selecting a school, select the Self-Directed Academy.

After the Self-Directed Academy reviews and approves your form, you'll receive an email explaining how to create a PowerSchool Parent account. You will then be asked to:
- Complete registration forms
- Provide required documentation
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of Address
- Immunizations
